This is the perfect rod for fishing the medium to large rivers of Scotland, Russia and Norway

We tested these rods out in some of the world best and most challenging salmon rivers of the world including Russia’s mighty Yokanga and Varzuga  river and Norway’s  Alta and Namsen rivers.  These are big, challenging rivers and this rod excelled with everything we threw at it.

This rod loads slightly deeper than the DTX-G2 model, this allows the caster to feel the rod load and unload better, creating more time to achieve more consistent accurate casting, this rod importantly still retains a fast recovery,  giving you the perfect balance of feeling and power, this rod loads well with floating lines, but it has a definite reserve of power for achieving distance or working sunk lines  if needed.

The balanced action of this rod will cast Spey lines as well as modern day Skagit and Shooting head systems equally well.

Using this 6 piece Atlas rod that fits comfortably into your suitcase saves you paying costly excess baggage fees from the airlines and importantly it also avoids the chance of your rod tube going missing in transit.

This rod is perfectly matched to the 56ft and 64ft headed 10/11 G2 Spey lines as well as the full range of 44gram G2 shooting heads.
